How bad a setback

So I have been using Saturdays as a gauge to my training progress.

The last Saturday I ran a four plus my time was 54:58, of course that following Wednesday before surgery I cracked 50 minutes.  Today, not great but not bad

Time: 52:32

I think I could have cracked 50 minutes today but I did eat before my run (albeit several hours) but what was worse was the wind.  There were certainly parts of my run that I was going against some pretty good headwind.  I did want to push it but I started coughing up blood, I wasn’t sure if it was my tooth or lungs… either way it was a sign to slow down.

Although I was impressed with my weight two days ago, I am pretty disappointed with it today.  I think it is not so  bad if I did not eat prior to running, but I did.  With February being a short month, it will be difficult for me to reach 250 before the end of the month.  The math says I have 15 days, if I did not lose a week, I would have made it.  I have two more Saturdays to try and make it to 250.  I can’t push myself for another week per Doctors orders, the coughing up of blood (was actually spitting up blood) kind of confirmed it.

Bottom line, this wasn’t too bad for my run time, but for my weight, it was bad.

Weight: 257.2
