Today I really hit the garage, one huge thing I did was organize a lot of the cables.
Actually labeled a bunch.
Also trying to get rid of some switches, replaced two of them with this
Looks like a winner. Although there were cheaper switches out there, this one was neat, thin and the smart (does VLANs).
One of the learning things was that I need to shorten some of the runs I made. Also need to bundle the cables neater.
Thinking of shoving them in a conduit as well.
As a bonus I got rid of some urine smell in the garage.
Finally, I got tired of the RAM errors. So I got new ones, was forced to get 4GB modules instead of the 2GB I had, but it seems stable and I now have 16GB in that machine.
