Good news is I finished,
But I PR (Personal Record) in a negative way, this was my worst time doing this series.
In 2014, I did it in 3:57:25, so 20 seconds slower.
I think if I didn’t miss these two weeks of training I would have done better.
My son PR as well, but in a good way, he did it in 2:28:56
Overall I think I did OK considering I was recovering from an injury.
A stranger named Erika did help me out through part of the race.
At mile 12 I started crying, cause I knew it was a simple 1 lap that I ran.
But I was totally spent, I had nothing, no sprint at the end.
As for this morning, we left the house at 5:30 and missed the light rail in, got in a little late, but our coral’s were far enough back that we still waited in line even after using the bathroom. Also I think they started late.
Next year, I will prepare better.
