Recall yesterday I fasted, so I don’t think I had full energy reserves when I ran.
Furthermore, on Thursday, I abstained and did not have meat, lighter meal than usual.
Fast forward to today, I did the 7 mile Lake Wa run.
Time: 1:30:30
Seems like a step backwards considering the past two weeks I ran it under 1:30 and last week was 1:28 and change.
But I did reach the halfway mark at 41:42, and that is the first time I average less than 12 minute mile. Also I could see my time was decent up until the 5 mile mark. I was absolutely ahead of schedule, but the 6th mile I reverted to my pace last week, then suddenly a huge dropoff on the last mile. At mile 6 I still had 14 minutes to beat last week, I didn’t have it in my to run hard… my body absolutely was spent, I had NOTHING left.
Shout out to my niece Racquel, saw her and I think Britt, passing my by on the way back.
That was early in my run, I think that gave me a boost.
My weight, that is a good story. So I think this was a good day.
