This is the night before the half marathon.
I felt a weird calm in me, I thought I should be more nervous than I was, until my son kept bothering me. Then I snapped, I realized I am nervous, which is good. I am not taking this run for granted.
Pretty sure I am physically ready, I have been no slouch these past few weeks, the weather has been tough and made it hard to run outside.
Speaking of weather, news says its gonna be nasty and they runners need to be tough, I saw “Bring it On!!!”
Got my gear ready and the weather will determine what I will wear. Cold and wet is what I am preparing for.
Another thing is that there will be no friends and family cheering for me on this one. Just a send off from home.
Been busy, I am glad I picked up my gear yesterday, been having a tight schedule today.
Tried to relax today by putting up Christmas Lights, at least got the first set up. Will see tomorrow if I am up to getting the rest of the lights up.
So, night before one of the tougher hilly courses in the US where it will be cold and raining, no cheer squad, this is all for me. Only me.
I don’t expect a great time, but I hope to crack 3 hours.
Will hit a few pushups and situps before I go to bed at 9PM.
Race start time is 7:15, I should be back in time to watch the Seahawks kickoff.
