This mornings run took a LOT out of me, as the cliche goes, its not how you start but how you finish, and I finished slow.
Just to recap, I ran another double lake Washington, the first 7 miles were about the same pace as last week 1:18:10, the run back was a little slow at 2:02:20, but the final 3.5 miles was BRUTAL, 2:51:02 was my end time.
That really pushed me, today was not so much a test of physical stamina but heart and will. I really really wanted to walk that last 3.5 miles. I grade myself an A+ for effort.
I think what got to me was the heat and dehydration, I did hydrate pretty good for the past few days, but although the sun was a nice change, it sure did impact my run.
Just to note, before the run I weighed in at 257.8, a little high but kind of artificial since I was well hydrated.
After the race, well… see below. And this was after drinking 2 pints of water
Weight: 252.6
