Today was one of them days… you know where you are beat for one reason or another… you dread going to the gym.
Most of the reason I was tired today was because I stayed up late googling Seahawks. So my lethargy is self inflicted.
Still, I burned over 500 calories combined with my treadmill and elliptical workout. This does not include the weight lifting portion of my workout.
There is something disturbing that is happening to me though, my plantar fasciitis is getting worse, I think it is time for new shoes.
My niece also found a race in April I may near my place. its the Seahawks 12k run. That gives me a little more than 3 months to train for, I think they are asking a pace of 20 minutes per mile. Doesn’t seem much, maybe I should try and make it under an hour which means I have to run it at a pace of 7.5. I’ve done it before but not sustained for more than 2 miles. Today I struggled mightily for 15 minutes at 6MPH, so I certainly am out of shape. Plus road running is in my opinion tougher than treadmill running.
If I can bring my weight down 10 lbs per month then I may make this goal, but that is at the edge of safe weight loss.
If am under 250 again in a month, then maybe it is doable.
